Jodie Hoger has been the Teacher/consultant (vision impairment) at TAFE Illawarra for 19 years. Jodie is also a member of SPEVI (South Pacific Educators in Vision Impairment) and is on the SPEVI committee of management and is the Institute’s representative for the Round Table on Information Access for People with Print Disabilities. Jodie is passionate about education, training and employment pathways for people who are blind or vision impaired along with developing strategies on accessible information. She has been recognised with the TAFE Illawarra’s Institute director’s Award and Vision Australia’s making a Difference award.
Jodie was diagnosed with rod/cone dystrophy at the age of 16 and is now totally blind.
