Kids Eyes: Free Info Day for Parents and Carers

Save Sight Institute is again delighted to present its annual information day for parents and carers of children with vision disorders.
Featuring some of Australia’s pre-eminent researchers and paediatric ophthalmologists, the day will focus on understanding eye disease and its impact on childhood development, identifying support services available and getting kids off to the very best possible start in life.
Presented on Saturday 19th July at Save Sight Institute (Macquarie Street Sydney).
Topics to include: Understanding eyes; Major childhood eye diseases; Navigating the school system; Social and emotional impacts; Orientation and mobility; Technology and low vision aids; Genetics and inherited eye diseases; The future of treating kids with eye diseases.
Representatives from Vision Australia, Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) will also be in attendance to answer questions and provide advice on services.
